Jess Mobilia reflects on their first year...
A year ago today Adrian and I said, “I do” and committed our-selves to a life long journey together. On that day I not only gained a husband, but I became a step-mommy to a beautiful, loving, and sweet little girl whom has taught me that is possible to love another woman’s child as your own.
Shortly after we made our commitment to one another, we committed to purchasing a 26-acre farm on Blackwater Road. Our intention was to plant grapes come spring and one day build a dwelling to house our tasting room and winery. In the months that followed we had many discussions regarding our long-term vision/goal for the winery, and we decided to take a leap of faith and speed up the initial plan. We closed the doors to Fenwick Wine Cellars at the end of December 2015, when our lease was up, and we started our adventure of becoming Salted Vines Vineyard and Winery (hopefully, a soon to be, larger and better version of Fenwick Wine Cellars).
As I reflect over our first year of marriage I am grateful for, and humbled by, the support of our staff and friends, some of which have put in hours of time, to help us see our vision through. By our family, who has been a constant pillar of strength and reason in the moments we have questioned our decision, and for our loyal customers that continue to believe in us, and are as eager as we are for us to reopen our doors. Thank you a million times over again. We look forward to all of you becoming part of our story.
Thank you to all of our followers, staff, family, and friends!
We hope to see you soon!
